Classes run at DN Studios in South Gyle and Chesser in Edinburgh, and in South Queensferry at Rosebery Hall.

Why choose Edinburgh Theatre School?
At Edinburgh Theatre School we teach our students so much more than just acting, singing and dancing. We help them grow into confident, versatile, well-rounded students who remain friends for life. Our classes aim to engage and involve all pupils all the time, while still providing enough individual attention to those who need it. At Edinburgh Theatre School we celebrate differences. We feel it is important to embrace each students individuality and use our differences productively, encouraging peer teaching and creating an atmosphere of cooperation, friendly competition and inclusivity.
Our classes are full of fun, energy and of course, excellent training. Each Term is focused around learning new skills and material that will be performed at either our Summer Musical or at our Winter Showcase. At DN Theatre we aim to give our students as many performance opportunities as possible. We will also soon be introducing LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations into our classes for those interested in taking their acting and singing skills to the next level.
Our classes are spread right across Edinburgh running at our South Gyle and Chesser Studios, as well as at South Queensferry Roseberry Hall. Our wonderful teachers go to each location to provide consistency and excellence across all classes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much experience do I need?
Whether you’ve been singing, dancing and acting for years, or this is your first step on stage, everyone is very welcome at Edinburgh Theatre School.
Other than our Mini Academy (suitable for ages 4-6 years old), we group our students by experience and ability, rather than just age.
This lets everyone learn at a level and pace that’s comfortable and appropriate for them, and keeps more experienced students motivated and making good progress.
What should I wear?
For your taster sessions – just wear something comfortable that’s easy to move in (not jeans!), and bare feet or socks are fine.
